Areto Labs is on a mission to make digital communities more positive and inclusive.



Be My Eyes

Be My Eyes is a free mobile app with one main goal: to make the world more accessible for blind and low-vision people. The app connects blind and low-vision individuals with sighted volunteers and companies from all over the world through a live video call.


Black Talk

Black Talk is a podcast about the personal experiences of global Black experts and Black Canadians contextualized within the historical experience of being Black.



Catchafire

Catchafire is a company that connects foundations, companies, nonprofits, and volunteers together so they can work with each other virtually and provide support that benefits everyone involved. For volunteers, they connect them with opportunities to support causes they care about by customizing their opportunities based on their skills and availability, so they are able to build their resume. For foundations and companies, they can use Catchafire to get free support from the volunteers.

Edmonton Shift Lab

The approach of shift lab was built on the great anti-racism work already happening in Edmonton and in particular utilized a social innovation lab process grounded in indigenous epistemologies and stewarded by a diverse collective.



Flags of Inequality

If countries had equal rights for their LGBTQ+ citizens this visualization would not exist. The rainbow flag is used to portray to what extent different dimensions of queer life are disregarded by state regulations.

The toolkit is a collaboration between Fashion Takes Action (FTA) and PwC. This is a centralized resource in which they have compiled, summarized, and categorized various global sustainable fashion resources. It includes reports, guidelines, standards, articles, podcasts, case studies and platforms.

This App gives a stage to the voices of people of African descent, both the enslaved and the free whose talents, skills, and labour contributed to the development of Niagara on the Lake

The UN provides this guide in an effort to employ youth to know their rights, and stay safe from discrimination and privacy violations on Twitter.
