This Government of PEI website follows addiction resources in terms of services and clinics that are accessible to anyone that needs help. As well, there is support offered for families as well and other community resources.

Aurora Recovery Centre

This is the only present 24/7 medical detox facility in the province. It allows patients to have access to a personalized treatment program as well as access to online and virtual counselling to help with the support needed.



Calder Addictions Centre

Calder Centre Adult program is a private 38 bed inpatient program offered to Saskatchewan individuals who need a safe supportive environment. It is a four week program, but flexibility is extended and gender specific treatments are provided as well. The counsellors are experienced, and a referral is needed to get into this treatment centre.



Canadian Association of People Who Use Drugs

CAPUD advocates for the regulation and decriminalization of drugs and works to empower and improve the quality of life of people using drugs deemed illegal.



Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction

CCSA is a non-governmental organization that provides national leadership on substance use and to advance solutions to address alcohol and other drug-related harms.



Chabad Lifeline

They are dedicated to helping everyone affected by addiction. They offer a full range of treatment options and comprehensive youth at-risk programs. People suffering from substance and behavioural addictions and their family members are guided through the process of healing and recovery.



Chew Project

The CHEW Project’s vision is to provide frontline support, opportunities for health and wellness, and to help find hope for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and emerging adults facing barriers. This site includes a number of resources.



eMentalHealth

eMentalHealth.ca is a non-profit initiative of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) dedicated to improving the mental health of children, youth and families.



Griffith Edwards Centre

MUHC is a hospital-based addictions service that provides a continuum of care for adults with drug/alcohol and mental health disorders. It consists of in/outpatient services. All fees for eligible clients are covered by Quebec Health Insurance.



Health Equity in Opioid Dependency

This resource has information about health equity in opioid dependency treatment and the differences in opioid treatment for Black and Latino patients.

Kamatsiaqtut Nunavut Helpline

This 24/7 helpline in Nunavut provides volunteer opportunities. The goal is helping others to help themselves, providing help in addictions as well as other areas.



Newfoundland Addiction Services

This website lists all addiction services offered in Newfoundland so it is more easily accessed by residents. There are different parts of towns available as well.



Portage Rehab Centre

Portage functions not only as a rehab program, but has a school academy in place to help others get back on track and offering resources in after care and reintegration. The goal is to not only stop drug abuse but to gain the confidence, self esteem and tools to be able to handle the challenges of everyday life without needing drugs.



Recovery Access Tool to Alberta Resources

This directory is a provincial navigation tool to help Albertans seeking recovery to source addiction treatment programs and services. It supports Albertans by offering a centralized centralized access point to system-wide navigation, including all available and licensed treatment options, real time wait lists that are updated regularly, and a treatment matching tool.



Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addiction Services

This site has a wide range of services, supports, and education materials available to assist people who are struggling with mental health and addiction issues in Saskatchewan.



Sophia Recovery Centre

Sophia Recovery Centre is a non-residential centre for women of all ages, providing continuing care for women in recovery from addiction.



Substance Treatment Centres for First Nation & Inuit

This website is a resource for all treatment centres in Canada that provides treatment and services to First Nations communities specifically that are funded from the Government of Canada. They provide language services and are best adept to guiding patients with the right treatment from all ages and genders.



Sunshine Coast Health Centre

It is an advanced health facility that gives working men an opportunity to explore their problem drinking or drug use while also building camaraderie with other men and professionals experiencing similar issues. This shared experience has been shown to provide the most therapeutic value.

Journal Article by the Harm Reduction Journal: Officers explained that the criminal justice system is one component of a wider network of systems that collectively fail to meet the needs of people who use drugs.



Toward the Heart

Toward the Heart is part of the BC Centre for Disease Control. They provide information and resources about harm reduction and overdose prevention, including information about the Take Home Naloxone Program.



White Buffalo Treatment Centre

Designed to meet the needs of Indigenous female youth between the ages of 12 and 17, the treatment centre helps those involved with drugs/alcohol and inhalant misuse by incorporating a program based on a holistic treatment model. It's designed to maximize youth potential through systematically improving self-esteem and equipping youth with tools that will be beneficial for life.
