What does Canada Confesses mean to you?
Canada Confesses is a safe space for people to have their voices heard, especially when it comes to difficult topics like racism. As a woman of color, I feel like volunteering with this project helps me make my voice heard, as well as amplify the voices of others so that we can spread awareness. It allows for meaningful conversations with Canadians so that we can solve social issues and grow together as a nation.
Why should others get involved with the project (as a volunteer or project participant)?
Canada Confesses is a great community where you can work alongside others with a passion for social justice to create meaningful change. It takes a community to make a difference, and with everyone together we can create a safer and more inclusive nation. As well as that, the volunteers and leaders at CC are very understanding and flexible, which is why getting involved with this project is amazing for people who have a lot on their plate but still want to make a difference.
What's one fun fact about you?
I love going to concerts and enjoying local live music!
