Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) assumes that an individual is more likely than not to have a history of trauma. It recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role that trauma may play in an individual's life.

Canadian Centre for Victims or Torture

This organization focuses on helping refugees to be integrated successfully, giving them the opportunity to heal from their trauma by providing treatment, tools and support that allows them to heal & become active community members.



Centre D'aide Aux Victimes D'actes Criminels

CAVACs offer front-line services to any crime victim or witness. They work in collaboration with experts from the legal community, health & social services to treat victims of crime with respect for their needs, and to proceed at a pace that is comfortable for each person they assist.



Crossroads for Women

As the only domestic violence and sexual assault shelter in South-Eastern New Brunswick, their mandate is to empower victims and survivors of violence, families break the cycle of abuse by providing shelter and ongoing support services, as well as public awareness and prevention system.

They have programs to help women and children who have experienced family violence or other trauma, and sexual abuse.
